Maryna Reshetnikova (Dulska)
children's book illustrator
Illustrator Artist
Maryna Reshetnikova was born in 1961 in Kherson, Ukraine. Dulska is her maiden name, and that's how she signed her first paintings. She graduated from Kherson National Technical University and worked as an engineer for 28 years. But since her early youth, Maryna has been passionate about art and created her first paintings in high school. Maryna painted portraits of her family members, still-lifes, landscapes, and animals - everything inspired her, and she wanted to capture the moments with oil and watercolor paints. At the same time, her knowledge of perspective and engineering drawings helped her to create realistic, true-to-life artistic compositions.
In 2012 Maryna began to work as a professional children's book illustrator. With great attention to the anatomical structure of the human or animal body, she creates beautiful realistic characters who come to life in her magnificent paintings. She illustrated many children's books, painted watercolor pictures to order, and created illustrations for different magazines and other projects. There are authors from all around the world among her clients!
In 2019 Maryna Reshetnikova's illustrations were presented at the exhibition "The Shadow of Dream cast upon Giardini della Biennale" in the Ukrainian pavilion in Venice curated by Open Group (Yurii Biley, Pavlo Kovach, Stanislav Turina, Anton Varga).
